Data vintage: · Program Year 2024
Four stable, downloadable reference tables compiled from CMS Open Payments: a company payment-summary table (1,925 companies), a state payment-summary table (59 states), a company recipient-concentration index (1,838 companies), and an identifier-matched General Payments release comparison (3,029 companies, PY2023 to PY2024). All are General Payments only, excluding research and ownership/investment records.
Company payment-summary data
One row per company: total General Payments, transaction count, physician-recipient count, and payment-type count. 1,925 companies.

Company General Payments release comparison
One row per company whose CMS manufacturer or GPO identifier appears in both retained annual summaries: PY2023 and PY2024 General Payments, the dollar change, and the percentage change. 3,029 identifier-matched companies. Records without a prior-year identifier match are intentionally excluded, not labeled new companies.

One row per state: total General Payments split by physician/hospital recipients, plus recipient and transaction counts. 59 states.

Company recipient-concentration index
One row per company: total General Payments, recipient count, the single largest recipient's name/amount/share, and an HHI concentration score (0-10,000; a company paying one recipient everything scores 10,000, one spreading payments evenly across many recipients scores near 0). 1,838 companies with recipient-level data.
